Mexico maintains a list of permitted additives, including functional additives, dyes, enzymes, sweeteners, infant formula additives, processing aids, and flavors. The list is updated every six months in the Dario Oficial. Additives appearing on previous lists but not the current list are granted a 12-month grace period to apply for inclusion.
