Industry Alert: Tremolite Asbestos

 

On 13 February, 2010, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has initiated a screening process being conducted by the Australian Customs and Boarder Protection agency relative to all stone products, such as granite, tiles, marble, slate, limestone articles, polished mosaics, etc.) being imported into Australia from China.  If concerned about your product, you may contact Australian Customs Information and Support Centre at www.inmformation@customs.gov.au.  (phone:1 300 363 263)  who will further direct you as necessary.
