Global Wizard is a hosted, web-based export documentation and Denied Persons Screening (DPS) compliance application suite that helps companies easily and quickly generate trade documents, deliver them via the Internet, and remain in compliance with trade regulations. Data integration with existing ERP and legacy systems provides a value-added, seamless solution to enhance the documentation process, reduce data entry and generate a quick Return on Investment of less than six months.

  3. How much does Global Wizard cost?
  4. License fees are assessed for Global Wizard usage based on transaction tier thresholds, providing your company a rapid payoff and a high return on investment. The overall cost is very inexpensive - often a small fraction of competitors' fees - compared to other LAN and Internet systems offering a similar integrated application.

  5. Do I need special hardware/software?
  6. No special hardware or software is required. An recent (preferably Internet Explorer) web browser and an Internet connection are the only requirements for access to Global Wizard.

  7. How do I get a password to use this site?
  8. After you enroll to use Global Wizard, Exits, Inc. staff will create a master user for your company. That company administrator can then create additional users for your staff.

  9. How many users from one company can have access?
  10. There is no limit to the number of users who can have access from one particular company. There is also no limit to the number of physical locations that can access Global Wizard.

  11. Is there support?
  12. Yes. Our staff is available Monday thru Friday 8am to 8pm Eastern Standard Time. There is no software to load, no disks with new releases - Exits' staff makes all documentation updates, Denied Persons updates, and functionality changes to the Global Wizard Website, and the changes are available instantly. No software or IT support is required from your in-house technical staff.

  13. Is the Global Wizard Site secure?
  14. Yes. Creating documents online and storing data with Global Wizard is easy and secure. Global Wizard uses state-of-the-art 128-bit secure sockets layer (SSL) encryption technology. The data is hosted by Xiolink in St. Louis.

  15. Can I create import/export documents?
  16. Yes. Global Wizard allows you to create, edit, view and print completed trade documents. More than 40 international trade documents are currently available, and documents can also include your corporate logo and be customized to your company's logistics needs. All documents are generated as Adobe Acrobat .pdf files, and they cannot be changed after generation.

  17. How many international documents are available?
  18. Currently, there are over 40 international trade documents available including:

    • Commercial Documents - Quotes, Proforma Invoices, Commercial Invoices (Export), Domestic Invoices, Order Acknowledgements, Order Confirmations, Purchase Orders, etc.
    • Banking Documents - Bills of Lading (Ocean) Inland Bill of Lading
    • Canadian Invoices - Certificates of Origin - NAFTA Certificates
    • Dock Receipt - Delivery Instructions - FAA Certificate - Inland Bill of Lading
    • Hazardous Certificates - Insurance Certificate - Labels
    • Packing List - Container Packing Lists - Shipper's Letter of Instruction
    • Shipper's Export Declarations, Canadian Export Declarations and more.

    You may also file the Shipper's Export Declaration electronically using AES.

  19. Can I e-mail the documents?
  20. Yes. Global Wizard provides e-mail functionality. Send one or more documents by e-mail to all the parties in your supply chain. There is no limit to the number of documents attached to an e-mail or to the number of e-mails that can be sent per transaction or shipment.

  23. What is the Denied Persons application?
  24. Global Wizard Denied Persons Screening module allows a company to search for persons or parties that have been designated by the US Department of Commerce, BXA, Department of State, etc. as being banned from receiving US goods due to violation of laws and regulations. Also included for the exporter's compliance program are the published denial lists of Canada, United Kingdom, Germany and Japan.

    Search by Name and optionally include country to verify that your company is up to date on denied persons screening. Reports and logs keep track of all your searches and their results at the time of search, too.

    Denied Persons Searches also occur in Shipment Wizard as shipping parties are saved in a shipment. Search results are displayed to the user, and results/actions are recorded for review, analysis, and reporting.

  26. The Global Wizard Information Guide provides valuable information to exporters, importers, and others involved in the business of international trade. Updated daily, this comprehensive guide contains detailed information pertinent to daily transactions involving banking, commerce, customs, distribution logistics, supply chain management, and transportation.

  27. What is the Requirements Guide?
  28. Global Wizard includes the most complete, up-to-date worldwide Documentation Requirements Guide for shipping to over 200 import countries and from over 200 of the largest export countries.

    As a subscriber to the Global Wizard Documentation Requirements guide, your company gains immediate access to essential documentation requirements to successfully compete in the complex world of international trade.

    This user-friendly program takes the guesswork out of preparing the correct documents for a particular country, saving time and money. Simply click on a country to view its profile, documents required, number of originals, number of copies and any special notes/comments.

    This function is integrated into Shipment Wizard - the user is informed at the shipment level of exactly which documents are required for the combination of that shipment's import and export countries. If any text statements or clauses are specified as Customs requirements, e.g. Certification Clauses or Origin Statements for certain documents they can be included to print on pertinent documents.

  29. I want to know about Integration/Customization?
  30. Global Wizard can be easily populated with your company's existing shipping parties, products, and export clause master data. SAP, BAAN, MAPICS, Oracle, Fourth Shift, Spex, PeopleSoft and any other legacy/ERP application can easily be integrated via XML transmission or FTP transfer for real-time ERP integration.

    Global Wizard adds further flexibility by enabling customization of documents and individualized logos. A company can tailor Global Wizard to fit its own document generation and shipping environment.

  31. Does the Global Wizard Application connect to the US Government sites?
  32. Yes. Easily file your Shipper's Export Declaration (SED) from within the Global Wizard. Exits Inc. is an approved vendor for AES, certified by US Customs.

    Inside the Information Guide, a user can find important links to over 200 Government web sites worldwide. There are over 1,600 governmental links, listed by country, many in several languages.
